QUALIFICATIONS
· Industrial High School + 5 years experience as belt vulcanizer
Basic Functions: Repairs, splices and reinstalls conveyor belts used throughout the cement Plant by hot and cold vulcanizing methods or mechanical fasteners as per preventive maintenance schedule, corrective maintenance request or supervisor’s instructions to ensure proper operating conditions and smooth running of belt conveyors. Job holder uses electrical heating plates of various sizes, holding-down beams, various vulcanizing chemical preparations and uncured rubber material for repairing damaged belts.
